This post was a lot of fun! It is neat to see how things change or don’t! You are right about usually taking photos of people and not rooms in the old days–it made me smile!

I love that you love color and pattern. It’s so refreshing in these days of the 6 Bs.

Yes, this reminded me a lot of how my home used to look in the 80’s and 90’s. Lots of color and pattern everywhere. Lot’s of stuff. It seems that neutrals and less clutter are what’s in right now. I shudder when looking back at pics of my home from way back when. But that’s what was popular and I loved it so that’s all that matters right?!

Yes, I still love it as you can see my many posts that show my love of pattern and color. Actually very little has changed except for the color of my living room walls. I think it is part of maturing and finding what works for each one of us. I know I could never live in gray and white, it would drive me bananas!

Beautiful spaces. We have been in the home we built since 1971. I too enjoy looking at the changes over the years. Things I thought I’d love forever, I didn’t. My style has evolved and changed with the times but …I’ll always love florals and color. Love in gloomy gray if you wish but it’s not for me.
I too miss decor fabric shops. Perhaps if the economy continues to improve we’ll see some return.
Love your blog, Jan and you have a beautiful daughter.
