Well the trees are still pretty down at the bottom of the property but it’s hot again so watching the trees outside is not fun anymore.
I have been putting together my mantel with a fall look. I stayed true to the cooler side of jewel toned colors that appeal to me and used some cool toned leaves and dried hydrangeas. You don’t have to use just the hydrangeas from your yard now. I like to order some dried hydrangeas from Etsy, there are lots of places to buy from on there. You can find them dyed in some pretty colors. There are a couple of faux ones as well. Rich colored pumpkins are sure showing up around here. I am enjoying the matte look of everything.
While we had those cool days, we definitely enjoyed sitting on the porch with some fresh made sourdough bread. I have to say the mister likes it better than me.
We left off with me sharing the coffee table in here.
And wanting to be consistent in my colors, I repeated them on the mantel.
We have a good while until Thanksgiving and I intend to leave this look up through out the fall season. I don’t think I will be changing it for a different look. We will see, wink!
The hydrangeas were simply laid across the mantel but I piled them on so they have a good full look. Don’t be stingy with your materials you are using. It’s better to be heavy handed than skimpy.
The plants look very confused. It’s fall and some of the azaleas are blooming.
And the camelias! That was a shocker, I don’t remember that ever happening this time of year.
And the banana plants are still producing.
Summer? Fall? Or Spring?
