I hope this finds you doing well and excited for the Christmas season. We have had a household of sickness going from one person to another. My back decided to punish me as well. But for the moment I am A okay and hope you are doing fine.
The Christmas tree is up and still being worked on. It’s gotten to a point I think it’s almost done but we will see.
Somehow from somewhere things feel different now for me. Many dread this time of year and it’s something I have related to. I think it’s the act of letting go of any expectations from the past that allows you to find some happiness.
It simply is a special time of year. I say simply because for me that was important. I had to find the simple things that were enjoyable this time of year. If you can focus on one thing that makes you happy no matter how insignificant it may seem, you may be finding your new way of experiencing the holidays.
Meanwhile Fall is slipping away but we still have color and I am trying to squeeze every little bit out of it. I love November and wish it would stay forever. We wait a very long time for the cooler weather with no humidity. It’s exhilarating and I want to be six again running and turning in circles over and over again until I can’t walk but fall down to the ground giggling.
The camelias are really happy on this bush. It sits on the end of the long front porch and is blooming it’s heart out.
Crepe myrtles are shades of yellow and orange behind the camelias.
